Synopsis
Jack the Ripper (1988) is a two-part British-American crime miniseries you can watch online on iFILM. Michael Caine stars as Inspector Frederick Abberline, the detective Scotland Yard hands the Whitechapel case.
Autumn 1888, London's East End. A run of savage killings spreads panic through the slums, and the press has already christened the unknown culprit Jack the Ripper. Abberline works the case against political pressure from above, a terrified public and his own taste for the bottle. Around him: a journalist (Jane Seymour), an American psychic-showman (Armand Assante), and a suspect list that climbs into the upper reaches of society. The ending is the writers' invention — the real killer was never found.
