Synopsis

A scientific expedition pushes into the jungle and two of its members — the scheming Medford and Vandermeer — discover that gold is buried on Tarzan's escarpment. Kidnapping Jane and Boy seems like a reliable way to force his hand. Tarzan does not negotiate. A herd of elephants and the quick-fingered chimpanzee Cheetah have strong opinions about that plan.
One of the livelier entries in the Weissmüller run, the film covers 81 minutes with rope-swinging, river chases, and crocodile encounters at a pace that never lets the plot settle into explanation.
