Synopsis
Yellowbeard (1983) is a pirate comedy you can watch online on iFILM. The dreaded buccaneer Yellowbeard terrorized the high seas for years, then got nabbed over something absurdly small — tax evasion. Twenty years behind bars, and a treasure map hidden better than the loot itself.
The Royal Navy stages an "escape" so they can shadow him and grab the gold for themselves. What follows is a ramshackle scramble across the ocean. Graham Chapman, who also co-wrote the script, plays the title cutthroat, and around him gathers nearly the whole old guard of British absurdism: Eric Idle, John Cleese, Peter Cook, Marty Feldman, plus Madeline Kahn, Peter Boyle and the duo Cheech and Chong.
The humor is crude and proudly silly, basically Monty Python crashing a swashbuckler. It was Marty Feldman's final film — he died during production. One for anyone who misses old-fashioned British farce. Stream Yellowbeard (1983) online on iFILM.
