House of the Long Shadows

American writer Kenneth Magee wagers his publisher twenty thousand dollars that he can knock out a classic novel in a single day. All he needs is quiet, so he's packed off to a deserted Welsh manor that has sat empty for forty years. The house, it turns out, is anything but abandoned. An odd family lurks within its walls, each member guarding a secret, and once night falls the rooms fill with unexpected callers.

The real lure is the only screen pairing of Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and John Carradine. Four horror icons share the same gothic stage and clearly relish playing off one another in a knowing send-up of the old dark-house formula.
