Synopsis
Dampfnudelblues (2013) is a German crime comedy from director Ed Herzog you can watch online on iFILM. In a Bavarian village where nothing ever happens, the local school principal turns up dead on the railway tracks.
Village cop Franz Eberhofer doesn't buy the accident theory. Someone scrawled "Die, pig!" on the dead man's wall — hardly the work of a suicide. With no one competent to help out in the sticks, Franz calls in Rudi, his old partner from his Munich days. The deeper the pair dig, the messier it gets: a second body, buried connections, secrets the whole village would rather keep. And at home, worse news waits — his girlfriend Susi has found someone else.
Adapted from Rita Falk's bestselling novels, the film runs on Bavarian flavour: dumplings, a grumbling household, slow dialect and humour built on the absurd. Eberhofer is the kind of detective whose investigation keeps losing ground to family chaos. Good for anyone who likes their crime cozy rather than grim. Stream Dampfnudelblues (2013) online on iFILM.
