Synopsis
The Trixxer (Der Wixxer, 2004) is a German criminal comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Tobias Baumann and starring Oliver Kalkofe, Bastian Pastewka, and Christoph Maria Herbst, the film runs 82 minutes and sends up every cliché of British mystery fiction.
A shadowy serial killer is terrifying the underworld. Scotland Yard dispatches its finest — who promptly manage to achieve very little. The trail leads to Blackwhite Castle, home of a respected lord whose respectable reputation turns out to cover quite a lot. The film is a gleefully silly parody of the Edgar Wallace crime serials that were a German cinema staple for decades, firing off sight gags and genre jokes at a pace that doesn't let up.
