Princes and Princesses (Princes et Princesses, 2000) is a French animated feature by Michel Ocelot that you can watch online on iFILM. Six self-contained fairy tales, seventy minutes total, no two stories set in the same world: medieval castle, ancient Egypt, feudal Japan, an arctic palace ruled by a princess whose touch is fatal. Ocelot uses cut-out silhouette animation — pure black figures against vivid backlit colour — and the visual effect is closer to shadow theatre than anything Disney-adjacent.
