Synopsis
Wick Is Pain (2025) is the behind-the-scenes documentary on how the John Wick franchise was built, and you can watch it online on iFILM. The camera lives backstage: fight rehearsals, busted knuckles, take after take, and Keanu Reeves throwing himself down staircases instead of handing it to a double.
The story comes from the people who made it — stunt coordinator turned director Chad Stahelski, his longtime partner David Leitch, the producers, and the stunt crew who spent years perfecting the "gun-fu" house style. They recount how a small independent picture the studios barely wanted grew into a billion-dollar, four-film action saga. Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne and Halle Berry turn up to talk it over.
The title says the thesis out loud: every clean frame of combat costs real physical pain and months of prep. This is less about Wick's plot than about the craft of the stunt and the stubbornness of a team that refused to shoot fights the ordinary way. For fans of the series and anyone drawn to how action gets made, it delivers. Stream Wick Is Pain (2025) online on iFILM.
