Synopsis

Thomas Kaiser didn't ask to become a guardian. But the ancestral mansion he inherits comes with a curse rooted in the Crusades, and with it — a locked demonic order straining against the walls. Inside the estate, Briar Rose (Natalie Hall) sleeps in a nightmare realm Thomas has already seen. Waking her won't be the fairy tale ending; keeping the evil contained might kill him first. He teams up with a local real estate agent and a paranormal cleric (Bruce Davison) to piece together what his family actually agreed to, and whether there's any way out of it.
The film pulls the Sleeping Beauty myth into a darker, demonology-heavy mythology rather than the usual gothic riff. An early appearance by Madeleine Petsch adds to the ensemble.
