Flash Point

Flash Point (導火線, 2007) is a Hong Kong action film directed by Wilson Yip — watch online on iFILM with Donnie Yen as Detective Sergeant Ma Jun, a cop whose arrest record is impressive and whose regard for due process is nearly nonexistent. His partner Wilson has spent months undercover inside a brutal Vietnamese crime syndicate, and when the operation collapses and Wilson barely survives, Ma drops any pretence of playing by the rules.

The plot is tight but functional — its real purpose is to set up confrontations. Three brothers run the gang, each one progressively harder to take down, and the film builds methodically toward a single extended showdown between Yen and Colin Chou that mixes wrestling, Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu in a way that was still genuinely unusual for the genre in 2007. No wires, minimal cuts.
