Serve the People

Serve the People (2022) is a South Korean drama you can watch online on iFILM. The setting is North Korea in the early 1970s. A glance in the kitchen turns into something far more dangerous. In a state that punishes desire without a trial, every touch raises the stakes — one report could end them both.

The film adapts a banned novel by Chinese writer Yan Lianke, a book still forbidden in his home country. It's blunt, physical and unbothered by decorum — adult Asian cinema about passion crushed under a totalitarian system, aimed at viewers who want their drama uncompromising.
