Double Take

A buttoned-up banker and a loudmouth street hustler swap passports — that switch sets off Double Take (2001), the crime comedy you can watch online on iFILM. It comes from George Gallo, the man who wrote Midnight Run.

Daryl Chase is framed for laundering money, the FBI is on his tail, and in a panic he grabs someone else's ID. The catch: it belongs to a fast-talking con artist named Freddy Tiffany, wanted even harder than he is. The two of them bolt for the Mexican border, trading identities at every stop and trying to work out who set up whom. Orlando Jones and Eddie Griffin run the whole picture on the friction between two opposites.

This is pure early-2000s road farce: chases, disguises, quick mouths, nothing taken seriously for a second. Griffin cuts loose so hard that half the jokes are plainly his own riffing.
