Synopsis
New Tale of Zatoichi (新・座頭市物語, 1963) is available to watch online on iFILM — the third film in the Zatoichi series and the first shot in colour. Director Tokuzo Tanaka and Katsu Shintarō return, this time sending the blind swordsman back to his home village with one goal: put the killing behind him.
His old teacher lives there, along with the teacher's younger sister, who is engaged to a wealthy samurai. Zatoichi meets her. Something starts that has no clean ending. Meanwhile, the brother of a man he once killed has followed him and is not interested in forgiveness.
