Harpoon

Harpoon (2019) is a Canadian horror-comedy thriller directed by Rob Grant — watch it online on iFILM. Three best friends take a yacht out to celebrate, the engine dies, and they find themselves drifting with almost nothing on board. Munro Chambers, Emily Tyra, and Chris Gray lead the cast.

Stranded on the open water, the three quickly run out of polite fictions. Betrayals surface. Old jealousies sharpen into something dangerous. The question of who might be expendable stops being hypothetical. Grant plays the whole thing with a deadpan narrator and a very dark sense of humor that never quite lets the audience feel safe laughing.

What makes Harpoon land is that it refuses to pick a lane — the comedy and the dread run at the same temperature right through to a genuinely uncomfortable ending. Good for viewers who like their thrillers mean and funny at the same time. Stream Harpoon (2019) online on iFILM.
