Synopsis

Combat Shock (1986) is a lo-fi cult horror-drama you can watch online on iFILM. Director Buddy Giovinazzo shot it on the streets of Staten Island on almost no budget, with his brother Rick Giovinazzo as Frankie — a Vietnam veteran still living inside the war years after coming home.

Frankie's New York is crumbling walls and broken radiators. His wife screams. His infant son bears the marks of Agent Orange exposure. Loan sharks circle. Old junkie friends pull him deeper into a spiral he can't climb out of. The film offers no catharsis — just a slow, grinding descent that made it a touchstone of underground American horror in the 1980s. Discomfort is the whole point, and Giovinazzo delivers it without flinching.
