Synopsis
The Matrix Revisited (2001) is a documentary you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Josh Oreck. It runs 123 minutes and covers the making of the 1999 sci-fi landmark in a level of detail that no press junket footage ever gets close to.
Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss and Hugo Weaving are all on camera. Cinematographer Bill Pope breaks down the photography. Fight choreographer Yuen Woo-ping talks through how he staged and trained the cast for moves that required months of preparation. VFX supervisor John Gaeta explains bullet time — where the idea came from and how 120 still cameras made it work on a practical set.
Originally released as a DVD bonus for The Matrix, the film outgrew that format long ago. If you want to understand why that movie looked like nothing before it, this is where the answer actually lives. Stream The Matrix Revisited (2001) online on iFILM.
