Synopsis
Capturing Avatar (2010) is a feature-length behind-the-scenes documentary you can watch online on iFILM. It tracks the long road James Cameron took to put his blue moon Pandora on screen.
Director Laurent Bouzereau pulls together raw production footage, early motion-capture tests and archival reels reaching all the way back to the 1995 shoot of Titanic. Cameron, producer Jon Landau, cinematographer Mauro Fiore and the cast — Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi — talk through how one idea grew into an entire world.
