Synopsis
The Silent House (La casa muda, 2010) is a Uruguayan horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Laura and her father Wilson come to a remote cottage to fix it up before the owner puts it on the market, planning to spend one night and start in the morning.
Then a noise creeps in from upstairs, growing louder. Wilson climbs up to check; Laura waits alone on the ground floor. What follows runs roughly seventy-nine minutes in near real time, as she tries to get out and uncovers the secret the house has been keeping.
Director Gustavo Hernández staged the whole thing to look like a single unbroken take, with no visible cuts, which is where the tagline 'Real Fear In Real Time' comes from.
