Knock Down the House

Knock Down the House (2019) is an American documentary you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Rachel Lears. Four women enter the 2018 congressional primaries with no corporate funding and no political résumé — a bartender from the Bronx, a coal miner's daughter from West Virginia, a grieving mother from Nevada, and a registered nurse from Missouri.

Lears follows all four campaigns in real time, without narration or framing. One of them is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, whose primary upset against a ten-term incumbent became one of the more documented moments in recent U.S. electoral history.
