Synopsis
Every Day a Good Day (日日是好日, 2018) is a Japanese drama you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Tatsushi Omori and based on Noriko Morishita's memoir, the film follows a young woman named Noriko (Haru Kuroki) who wanders into tea ceremony lessons with no particular plan.
Season after season, the same gestures repeat: how to fold the cloth, how to lift the bowl, how to move without rushing. What starts as idle discipline slowly becomes something that mirrors her actual life — first loves, quiet grief, years passing. Kirin Kiki, who plays the tea master, was one of Japan's most beloved actresses; she died in September 2018, and this was among her last films.
