Synopsis
Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles (2013) is an HBO stand-up special you can watch online on iFILM, taped live at Largo — a music and comedy club in Los Angeles — before an audience of 39 people. Directed by Liam Lynch.
Silverman spends the hour on a wide range of targets: cell-phone pornography, strange religions, specialty deodorants, a terrible former roommate, her 19-year-old dog, Obama and the Republicans, Pixar films, and the sheer improbability of being alive. The small room changes the texture of the material — closer and less polished than an arena set, which suits the subject matter.
