Synopsis
Move to Heaven (무브 투 헤븐, 2021) is a South Korean drama series you can watch online on iFILM. Geu-ru works for his father's trauma-cleaning company: after someone dies, they go in, sort through what's left, and deliver to the family anything that tells the story the deceased never managed to say out loud. Geu-ru is meticulous, literal-minded and extraordinarily good at it.
When his estranged uncle Sang-gu arrives fresh out of prison, the two couldn't be more different — except they've both lost the same person, and now they're stuck running the business together. Director Kim Sung-ho structures each episode around a new client: a suicide, a lonely elderly man, a domestic abuse victim. The belongings are the detective work. What the family thought they knew is almost never the whole picture.
The series talks about grief without reaching for tears on cue — it earns them through specificity instead. Each episode functions almost as a standalone short story, which makes it one of the more quietly devastating Korean dramas of recent years.
