Synopsis
The Wrong Mans (2013) is a British comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. Two bored council clerks pick up a stranger's phone at the scene of a car crash, and the voice on the line delivers a threat: bring the money by five o'clock, or she dies.
From that moment Sam and Phil are dragged into a mess of kidnapping, gangsters and corruption they had absolutely nothing to do with. One is a timid pushover, the other a motormouth mailroom guy convinced they're basically secret agents now. The harder the pair try to fix things, the deeper they sink. Mathew Baynton and James Corden wrote the show themselves and play a duo where one man's panic feeds the other's stupidity.
It's a short, tightly packed mash-up of sitcom and spy thriller: the chases and explosions look Hollywood-sized, but the heroes are two ordinary cowards who don't belong anywhere near them.
