Synopsis
RBG (2018) is a documentary you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Betsy West and Julie Cohen. It follows Ruth Bader Ginsburg — Supreme Court Justice, dissenter, and unexpected cultural phenomenon — tracing a legal career that began when firms routinely binned applications from women and stretched all the way to the bench where she kept arguing until her final days. Her early work as an ACLU attorney in the 1970s systematically dismantled gender discrimination, case by case, using a strategy as methodical as any chess match.
West and Cohen got closer to Ginsburg than most cameras had: conversations at home, footage of her famously rigorous workout routine, testimony from colleagues and former presidents. The result is less hagiography than character study — a portrait of someone who treated the Constitution as a living argument rather than a sealed verdict. Quiet in tone, surprisingly pointed in effect. Stream RBG online on iFILM.
