Synopsis
Little Siberia (Pikku Siperia, 2025) is a Finnish crime tragicomedy from Dome Karukoski, available to watch online on iFILM. A meteorite slams down on a remote northern town, and the local pastor — already running low on faith — gets handed the job of guarding the rock until the scientists arrive.
The meteorite is worth a fortune, and word of it sets the whole town in motion. Village drunks, out-of-town crooks, and people the pastor is supposed to trust all start circling the museum case that holds the stone. His long, sleepless night watches blur together with the cracks in his own marriage and a quiet argument with God he has been having for years. The longer he stands guard over the fallen fragment, the clearer it becomes that the thing being tested isn't the rock — it's him.
