Take Point

Take Point (2018) is a South Korean action thriller from director Kim Byung-woo, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Mercenary leader Ahab takes a dirty CIA contract: drop into a bunker beneath the Korean DMZ and grab a North Korean official on the morning of the U.S. presidential election.

The mission goes underground in every sense. Cramped tunnels, night-vision green, a handler whispering orders through an earpiece — Ha Jung-woo spends almost the whole film below ground, deciding who's worth saving once the bullets start. The grab goes wrong, the wrong man ends up in the room, and a wounded official played by Lee Sun-kyun turns a payday into the trigger for a nuclear standoff.

Kim shoots much of it close to real time, the camera locked tight on his hero, which makes a spy job feel like a slow trap closing. Good pick if you like tension that comes from walls and clock, not explosions. Stream Take Point (2018) online on iFILM.
