Synopsis
Secret Reunion (의형제, 2010) is a South Korean action-drama from director Jang Hoon, ready to watch online on iFILM. An intelligence agent and a North Korean spy land on opposite sides of a botched operation in Seoul.
Lee Han-gyu was tracking a Northern assassin known as Shadow; Song Ji-won served as the killer's handler on the job. When the operation collapses, it breaks both men at once. Song is branded a traitor by his own side, and Lee is thrown out of the agency in disgrace. Years later, chance throws them together again — only one is no longer a spy and the other no longer an agent. They start working a case side by side, each carefully hiding who he really is. Song Kang-ho and Gang Dong-won lead.
Jang Hoon — who would go on to make A Taxi Driver and The Front Line — holds a steady balance between spy thriller and a story of friendship across the border.
