Synopsis
Elvira's Haunted Hills (2002) is a horror-comedy spoof you can watch online on iFILM. Cassandra Peterson slips back into her wisecracking gothic-vamp persona, this time stranded in the Carpathian hills of 1851.
Tossed out of a village inn over a few missing coins, Elvira gets rescued by a stranger who steers her up to the brooding castle of Count Vladimir Hellsubus. Trouble is, she's a dead ringer for his late wife, whose passing was anything but tidy. Creaking doors, a family curse, and a host who watches her a little too closely follow. Richard O'Brien of Rocky Horror cranks up the camp as the gloomy nobleman.
Director Sam Irvin plays it as an open love letter to Roger Corman's gothics and the Vincent Price Poe pictures, only stuffed with sight gags and Elvira's signature asides to the camera.
