The deal: spend Maslenitsa week guiding an exchange student through Russian pancake festivals and winter-send-off traditions. The student is Wang Yu, son of a senior Chinese official, and thoroughly unimpressed by everything. Then Polina breaks her leg, and her best friend Olya steps in — pretending to be her.
