Caught in Time

Caught in Time (除暴, 2020) is a Chinese–Hong Kong crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM. For ten years one detective hunts a gang he can never quite catch.

Zhong Cheng (Wang Qianyuan) leads the task force going after the Eagle — a brutal crew of robbers who keep vanishing after each bloody heist. Their leader Zhang Sun, played by Daniel Wu, doesn't hide; he taunts, growing bolder the closer the police creep. Director Lau Ho-leung shoots the nineties hard and unglamorous: drawn-out shootouts, concrete, sweat, and the exhaustion of two men who have shadowed each other far too long.
