Synopsis
SS-GB (2017) is a five-part BBC thriller miniseries you can stream online on iFILM. November 1941. Germany won. The King is a prisoner, Churchill executed, and Scotland Yard now reports to the SS.
Sam Riley plays Detective Superintendent Douglas Archer, a homicide investigator who has decided the only rational approach is to keep solving murders and stay out of politics. One case ends that plan. The body pulls him into overlapping agendas — the British Resistance, a competing American intelligence operation, and German officers with private schemes Berlin knows nothing about.
Director Philipp Kadelbach adapted Len Deighton's 1978 alternate-history novel across five episodes, grounding the period detail and running a proper procedural through it.
