Synopsis
Carancho (2010) is an Argentine crime thriller by Pablo Trapero, available to watch online on iFILM. Ricardo Darín plays Sosa, an ambulance-chasing lawyer — known in Buenos Aires as a carancho, the bird of prey — who haunts emergency rooms looking for accident victims to sign as clients and split the payout with crooked insurers.
One night he meets Luján, an overworked paramedic running on stimulants and grit. He shows up looking for a case; he stays because of her. Trying to break free from the mob-connected law firm that owns him turns into something more dangerous than any insurance scam.
