Bleach

Bleach (ブリーチ, 2018) is a Japanese live-action fantasy action film you can watch online on iFILM, adapting Tite Kubo's manga under the direction of Shinsuke Sato. Sota Fukushi plays Ichigo Kurosaki, a high school student who has seen ghosts his whole life — an ability that seemed useless until a Soul Reaper showed up at his door.

That Soul Reaper is Rukia Kuchiki, played by Hana Sugisaki. When a violent Hollow attacks, Rukia passes her powers to Ichigo out of desperation. He becomes a substitute Soul Reaper, tasked with defending the living from hollows that prey on the dead. Ryo Yoshizawa plays the antagonist. Sato, who previously directed the manga adaptations Gantz and Inuyashiki, stages the fight sequences with enough scale to make the jump from page to screen feel earned.

The film covers the Soul Reaper Agent arc — the opening chapter of the story — and works both as a primer for newcomers and as a faithful recreation for longtime fans of the series. Stream Bleach (2018) online on iFILM.
