A meteor crashes into northern Japan and hatches a swarm of insect-like aliens called Legion. They breed fast, spread a colony, and aim to strip the planet of every resource. The military can't stop them. Gamera can — but the creatures evolve with each clash, and the fight may cost the turtle its bond with young Asagi and with humanity itself.

Kaneko directs, and the effects team turned Legion into one of the most respected monster movies of the 1990s — plenty of fans rate it above the era's Godzilla entries.
