Gamera vs. Barugon

Gamera vs. Barugon (1966) is a Japanese kaiju film from Daiei studio, ready to watch online on iFILM. This time the giant flying turtle faces a reptile hatched from a gemstone no bigger than an egg.

Treasure hunters haul a rare opal back from New Guinea, only for infrared heat to crack it open into a beast named Barugon. The monster torches Osaka with a rainbow ray fired from its spine and freezes whole streets with an icy mist. Gamera is the one creature that can answer it, and the showdown rolls toward the shores of Lake Biwa.

The second entry in the series runs darker than the rest: no kid sidekick this time, just greed, betrayal and a straight-faced adult tone.
