Synopsis

Jeong-yoon and her husband Jong-bae run a car body shop buried in debt. To keep the family afloat, she agrees to smuggle thirty kilograms of cocaine. She is caught at customs in France. What follows is a French prison, a language she does not speak, a daughter growing up at home without her, and a husband navigating a bureaucratic wall from the other side of the world.
The film is based on the real case of a Korean woman detained in Europe for drug trafficking. Jeon Do-yeon claimed the Best Actress prize at Cannes in 2007 for "Secret Sunshine" — here she does the same work with less surface to show it on.
