Synopsis
King Guillaume (2009) is a French comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Guillaume drives a miniature tourist train. His wife Magali plays in a brass band, twins are on the way, and life is quietly good. Then a lawyer arrives with news that changes everything: Guillaume is the sole legitimate heir to the throne of a tiny island kingdom off the coast of France and England.
Director and lead actor Pierre-François Martin-Laval assembled a sharp ensemble — Pierre Richard, Omar Sy, and Isabelle Nanty all turn up. The film's comedy comes less from the crown itself and more from how badly two ordinary people need the fantasy to be real.
