Awake

Awake (2019) is a lean action thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Alexander Chernyaev. A man comes to in a hospital bed with no idea who he is — and the first thing he learns is that the police want him for a string of murders.

To the detectives the case looks closed: every clue points at the amnesiac stranger, and his own blank memory offers no defense. So Jonathan Rhys Meyers' John Doe starts running his own investigation, chasing a trail that could end at the real killer or circle right back to him. Francesca Eastwood plays his uneasy ally, with genre veteran William Forsythe rounding out the hunt.

At ninety-odd minutes this one keeps things tight, riding the single hook from its tagline: who are you, really? No padding, just chase and paranoia. A solid pick if you go for amnesia plots and wrong-man setups. Stream Awake (2019) online on iFILM.
