Gulaal

Gulaal (गुलाल, 2009) is an Indian crime drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Anurag Kashyap. Law student Dilip Singh arrives in Rajasthan to study and, more or less by accident, gets himself elected General Secretary of the student union. That is when things go wrong.

The campus politics turn out to be a front for a Rajputana separatist movement led by Duki Bana — Kay Kay Menon playing a man stripped of everything by one aristocratic family and now running on pure, organized resentment. Dilip moves between factions, each calling itself his ally. Piyush Mishra wrote the script and performs the film's qawwali-inflected songs; both have been quoted by Indian audiences for years.
