Synopsis
Veinteañera, divorciada y fantástica (2020) is a Mexican comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Regina spent her whole childhood picturing the perfect wedding, married barely past twenty — and watched the whole thing fall apart almost right away.
So here she is, a divorcée still in her early twenties, with her one big life plan in pieces. Paulina Goto plays a girl forced to relearn who she is: finding her own apartment, sorting out friends, her mother and her bruised confidence, and asking for the first time what she actually wants beyond a ring. Jesús Zavala and Vadhir Derbez circle as two very different contenders for her attention.
It's a light rom-com built on a simple idea — getting divorced at twenty isn't an ending, it's a sudden shot of freedom. Director Noé Santillán-López skips the melodrama and the lectures, going for bright colour and Latin energy instead. A solid pick for fans of breezy coming-of-age comedies.
