Vampire Journals

"Vampire Journals" (1997) is a US-Romanian horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Director Ted Nicolaou — the same filmmaker behind the Subspecies series — built a Gothic revenge story around a tormented vampire named Zachary.

Zachary doesn't crave power or blood for its own sake. He hunts other vampires, working his way toward the master vampire lord Ash, to avenge the woman he lost centuries ago. Jonathan Morris plays him with a brooding stillness that fits the film's pace. Shot on location in Romania, it leans on shadow and crumbling architecture rather than special effects.
