Synopsis
Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968) is a Hammer Horror classic you can watch online on iFILM. Director Freddie Francis helmed the third entry in the studio's Dracula cycle, again with Christopher Lee as the Count. The revival mechanism here is grimly simple: blood from a priest's head wound seeps into the ground near the crypt, and the Prince of Darkness is back.
Newly risen, Dracula enslaves the guilt-ridden priest and fixes his attention on the niece of a local monsignor — a direct act of revenge against the churchman who had the castle exorcised. Her fiancé and the monsignor join forces to stop him, armed with faith and a wooden stake, but the Count is already several moves ahead.
Lee does everything with his eyes and his height. Francis shoots it in the rich, slightly lurid palette that made Hammer films look unlike anything else in British cinema. This is not horror that unsettles for days — it is genre filmmaking executed with real confidence. Stream Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968) online on iFILM.
