Synopsis
Queen: Hungarian Rhapsody — Live in Budapest '86 (2012) is a concert film you can watch online on iFILM. On July 27, 1986, Queen played Budapest while Hungary was still a communist state behind the Iron Curtain — among the first major Western rock acts to perform for audiences that had been locked out of the live circuit for decades.
Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, John Deacon, and Spike Edney played to a crowd that treated every song as something they'd been owed for years. The energy is audible even in a studio-clean restoration. Director Zsombolyai János assembled the 2012 release with full high-definition picture, 5.1 surround audio, and previously unreleased rehearsal footage alongside interviews that put the show in context. The concert works as history just as well as it works as music. Stream Queen: Hungarian Rhapsody online on iFILM.
