Synopsis
AC/DC: Live at River Plate (2009) is a concert film you can watch online on iFILM. It captures three sold-out nights in Buenos Aires in December 2009, shot with more than thirty HD cameras on the band's Black Ice World Tour.
This was AC/DC's return to Argentina after thirteen years away, and River Plate stadium roared back — close to 200,000 fans across the three shows. The setlist runs through the untouchable classics and the newer Black Ice material alike: "Thunderstruck," "Highway to Hell," "Back in Black," "T.N.T." Angus Young tears across the stage in his schoolboy uniform like he's still twenty, and the crowd noise sometimes swallows the amps whole.
Director David Mallet, who has shot dozens of landmark concert films, catches less the sound than the physics of the crowd — the way a packed stadium breathes in time. It's the next best thing to having been there. Stream AC/DC: Live at River Plate online on iFILM.
