Synopsis
YellowBrickRoad (2010) is an American horror film you can watch online on iFILM. In the autumn of 1940, the entire town of Friar, New Hampshire stripped down and walked up a mountain trail into the wilderness. Some were later found frozen, some butchered, the rest simply gone.
Decades on, a small research team follows the same path to figure out what drove a whole village mad. The first sign of trouble is almost gentle: cheerful 1940s dance music drifting through the trees with no source, getting louder by the mile. Their maps stop matching the ground, the forest refuses to end, and the group starts coming apart from the inside.
This debut feature from Jesse Holland and Andy Mitton trades jump scares for a slow unravelling of the mind — the gore, when it lands, grows out of paranoia rather than a chase. The ending is brutal and splits viewers down the middle. Made for fans of quiet, creeping dread; less so for anyone who wants every loose end tied off.
