Synopsis
Phas Gaye Re Obama (2010) is an Indian criminal comedy directed by Subhash Kapoor — watch online on iFILM. Om spent years in the United States before the financial crash stripped him of everything. He flies back to India with a straightforward plan: sell the ancestral property, pay the debts, start over.
It does not go smoothly. A local gang marks Om as a wealthy NRI and kidnaps him, expecting a ransom that does not exist. From there the film becomes a tangle of bad assumptions, worse luck and people on both sides of the law who are all, in their own way, trying not to drown.
