Plebs (2013) is a British sitcom you can watch online on iFILM. Ancient Rome here isn't marble and glory — it's just a big, grubby city where three lads from the suburbs want exactly what young men always want: a paycheck, a date, and a boss who leaves them alone.

Marcus and Stylax keep trying to climb the social ladder and keep sliding back down it. Their slave Grumio is lazy enough to be a genius at it, dragging them into a fresh disaster every couple of days. Tom Rosenthal, Ryan Sampson and Tom Basden lead the cast, with Joel Fry joining the gang later. The whole joke is the anachronism: togas and chariots crashing into office politics and blind dates, as if someone rewrote Rome as a modern British comedy.
