The Hidden Face

The Hidden Face (La cara oculta, 2011) is a Spanish-Colombian thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Orchestra conductor Adrián has just moved to Bogotá when his girlfriend vanishes, leaving nothing but a farewell video on his laptop.

Grief pushes him toward Fabiana, a waitress he meets at a local bar (Martina García). Then odd noises start in the huge house he rents, the police circle him over the disappearance, and nothing in that mansion feels empty. Director Andrés Baiz splits the film clean down the middle and replays it through a second pair of eyes. Tight, claustrophobic, and best watched knowing as little as possible going in.
