Condorman

Woody draws a comic-book superhero called Condorman and lives by one stubborn rule: he won't put anything on the page that he hasn't done himself. That's how he ends up leaping off Paris landmarks and tumbling into the Seine for the sake of authenticity. A small favor for his CIA buddy drags the cartoonist into a real espionage caper, complete with a KGB agent named Natalia who wants to defect and a ruthless villain, Krokov, backed by a small private army. Woody agrees to help — on the condition that the agency builds him the gadgets straight out of his own comic.

It's gleefully silly early-eighties fare: rocket cars, boat chases and a winged suit that genuinely flies. Oliver Reed clearly has a blast chewing scenery as the Soviet heavy. A fine pick for a family movie night or a hit of nostalgia for old Disney action. Stream Condorman (1981) online on iFILM.
