Synopsis
The Thinning (2016) is a dystopian thriller with a horror streak that you can watch online on iFILM. Earth is overpopulated and running dry, so the government lands on a brutal fix: once a year students sit a standardized test, and the lowest scorers are quietly put to death.
High-schoolers Blake (Logan Paul) and Laina (Peyton List) figure out that exam 10-241 is a sham, a cover for something far dirtier. The deeper they dig, the higher the stakes climb — a wrong answer here costs a life, not a grade. Director Michael J. Gallagher leans on teen-famous YouTubers and the very real dread of standardized testing, pushed to a grim extreme.
